July 2022 Favorites

I'm a bit late with this, but here are my July favorites!

AI: Nirvana Initiative: The sequel to AI is out, and I've been watching my friend play it. We haven't finished it yet, but the game is shaping up to be another fascinating sci-fi mystery. Still recommend the first game. But this one has been really fun to enjoy with friends.

Sims: Having my bestie cousin love Sims 2 has been wonderful, and her new perspective and curiosity has inspired me to look for new mods, CC, and community lots. I've added a roller skating park, an ice skating park, and a wedding chapel. Updated my selection of wedding dresses. And found a mod to make parties at community lots possible. These things have existed for a while, but I'd gotten used to the way the game works and its limitations. Having someone else enjoy my favorite game has inspired me to try new things! I also finally started dabbling in mods and cc for Sims 4. But with the new update giving me stress, I haven't been able to enjoy it much.

Izzzyzzz: I fell down another YouTube rabbit hole with a nostalgia/internet culture channel. I started out with the videos on Neopets, then continued into things I was not super informed about, like Monster High. And then started getting into the darker stuff, like creepypastas and ARGs. Some of these videos contain tough content, but Izzzy handles the subjects well. They also bring a unique style to their videos through various makeup looks. And I learned about the Alexandria's Genesis hoax. Which, funnily enough, sounds like the origin of my obsession with violet eyes and eye-related powers, but it is not. 😆 I'll credit Hermione's World and that glowy-eyed episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark for those.

Neopets: Speaking of Neopets... well, I started out this month with Neopets as a favorite. But it ended up being more like an unfavorite. 😕 Still, I really enjoyed opening birthday mystery capsules with my friend.
