This month was all over the place. And so are my favorites, so let's jump in!

Fireworks: A bit coming-of-age, a bit surreal. Went in without knowing much about this movie. And it took my breath away. It's not the best looking animation I've ever seen, but the moments where the visuals get trippy are gorgeous! And I'm always on board for young romance, coming-of-age stories. This movie spoke to me and my young self's romantic imagination.

Pretty Woman: I remember loving this movie as a child, when I didn't know (or understand) anything. I thought it was so-so as a young adult, who thought she knew everything. And I kind of love it again as an adult, who knows better than to think she knows everything.

Gaming Favs: Still spending a lot of time fixing up my Sims 2 folder, but I've started playing Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. Let me be clear, I am not good at rhythm games. But I love the Kingdom Hearts series and its music, so I'm determined to give this one my best shot. And because I'm "extra", I also bought a second dock for my Nintendo Switch so I can easily play on two different TVs. This might sound lazy, but when you suffer with depression and intense burnout on a regular basis, anything that can make it easier for you to motivate yourself to do things is a blessing

YouTube Favs: I've been watching Sarah Key's playthrough of Kingdom Hearts 3, and it's giving me such good vibes, reminding me of playing it for the first time. Another channel I've been enjoying is Nathaniel Bandy. He does Mario challenge videos, and they're so impressive and fun to watch. My favorite video so far is the one where he tries to play New Super Mario Bros. water levels without any water. And I discovered Odd Tinkering's game tech restorations. It's amazing to see what he can do with tech in horrible condition. Also, the videos are very satisfying. As someone who loves ASMR, these videos are full of (mostly!) good sounds!
