November 2021 Favorites

Another month, another monthly favorites post. I've had less time and energy to enjoy things this month. It's been a hectic one, and I haven't been feeling well (in one way or another) during most of it. Oh, well.

Revolutionary Girl Utena (Deeper): As I mentioned in another post, I decided to do a deep dive into videos exploring the story and symbolism of Revolutionary Girl Utena, and I'm so glad I did. This anime is fascinating! I also watched the follow-up movie for the first time. It was visually captivating and *super* bizarre. But at this point, I wouldn't expect anything else!

Wolves of Mercy Falls (Finale): I finally finished the last main book of this series, and was sad to say goodbye to Sam and Grace. Not much more to say about the finale. Just that I really loved this series.

Red (Taylor's Version): I was not yet a huge Taylor Swift fan when Red originally came out. I did find my way to it and casually listened, with some of the non-singles really catching my interest. But I was not all the way invested until after 1989. Anticipating these re-releases has given me something to look forward to and be excited about. (Which is a rare event these days.) I'm taking my time listening through Red (TV). And crying every time I watch Taylor perform All Too Well (10 Minute Version). Other favorites so far: Sad Beautiful Tragic, Treacherous, and State of Grace.

Other Music Favs: Flesh without Blood (Grimes), Voodoo (Alexz Johnson), Shivers (Ed Sheeran), Hygiene Strip (Dubstar), Let Love Tear Me Down (HAEVN), Goodbye (Acceptance), Two Pieces (Demi Lovato), All the Days (HAERTS), One Day I Will (Joy Williams), Echo (CLAVVS).

What are some things that get you through difficult times? I hope you're not having difficult times right now, but if you are, I'm sending out love. ❤️
