This has been a month of recovery and readjustment. I've been playing a lot of Sims 2 and Hogwarts Legacy. (I rode on a hippogriff for the first time, and it was glorious!) Continuing to enjoy Once Upon a Broken Heart when I'm in the mindspace for reading. Here are some other favorites!

Raging Loop: I started watching this visual novel and got hooked pretty quickly. If you've been keeping track of my favorites for a while, this is yet another time loop/parallel timelines/branching paths horror-ish game. šŸ˜† What can I say? I love them. (Though they sometimes freak me out.) This one was a wild ride. And while I didn't love everything about how the story ultimately played out, I really enjoyed how it messed with my mind!

Mulholland Dr.: Speaking of stories that mess with your mind, wow. I debated whether this should make the monthly favorites because... part of me is unsure if I actually liked it? There were parts that I didn't care for or understand the point of, initially. But. I really like stories that have twisty, deeper meanings under the surface. And I could sense that it was there. So, I employed one of my new favorite ways to continue engaging with stories: explainer/theory videos. This movie has a lot of levels. And diving deeper into analysis of those levels was very satisfying.

Jim Henson: Defunctland did a documentary series on Jim Henson, and while I'm not the most versed in his work, I decided to watch through it. And I'm really glad I did. The final episode had me sobbing. And much like Defunctland's Disney Channel video, got me thinking about the creative work that we leave behind.
