March 2022 Favorites

The last month was, let's just say it, horrible for me. I had a big emotional crash, and I still haven't entirely recovered. There were days I wasn't able to enjoy anything at all. But when I did manage to enjoy something, I made sure to write about it. So, here are my favorites...

Encanto: I technically watched this at the end of February, but I had already written up my favorites post. I'm not sure I can add much to the Encanto praise except that... No, it is not over-hyped. Yes, the music is really that good. And yes, you are probably missing out by not watching it. (But no pressure. We don't do pressure here.)

Good Trouble: I was so sad to end my time with The Fosters, but Good Trouble is great. More found family themes. Some great new characters. Important topics. And some guest episodes with the family.

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: This anime got even better than what I expected. And I completely loved the sweet, shy romance and emotional moments. Looking forward to watching the second season of this cute show.

Caraval: While reading has been scarce during the stressful last few months, I have been sloooowy rereading Caraval. The vibrant writing and storytelling invigorates my creative mind, even if only for small bursts.

Final Fantasy V/Chrono Trigger: My friend and I finished FFV, and it was so much fun watching him play. Since then, he's been streaming Chrono Trigger, a game I already had a lot of fondness for.

Neopets: I've been playing lots of the old flash games, and the nostalgia (and the trophies) have been great. My free moments are still mostly filled with Neo.

Music Favs: Too Much & No Drug Like Me (Carly Rae Jepson), Supercut (Lorde), Beating Heart (Ellie Goulding), Heart (Lovelast), Hello (Poe), Head Underwater (Jenny Lewis), Little Bit (Lykke Li), Feel the Waters (Sarah Reeves).
