January 2022 Favorites

The first month of 2022 is over? How did that happen? Oh, well. Monthly favorites time.

Mario Party Superstars: I picked this game up as a nostalgic gift for my cousin, but we had so much fun playing it during her visit that I had to pick up my own copy, so we could continue playing together online. This was my first Mario Party, and while I wish they had included a few more boards and characters, I've had so much fun playing this with my cousins.

Legend of Korra: As a big Avatar fan, when Korra premiered, I watched it avidly. I loved the new characters, and I really enjoyed the first season. But as the show went on, I ended up losing interest, preferring the fanfiction of an online friend to canon... until I heard about the ending. But the ending, while groundbreaking for a "kid's show", didn't carry as much weight for me after being away from it for so long. Now, I'm making my way through the entire show again. In part, because I really want to read the sequel comics!

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: This anime is just so cute. It's kind of hard to explain, but it follows characters who enjoy roleplaying dark art magical scenarios as if they were real. (Which is apparently called chunibyo?) The main character is trying to put his chunibyo past behind him as he enters high school, when the girl who lives in the apartment above him, who also happens to be his new classmate, drags him back in.

Neopets: I'm still riding off the high of having so many pets on my main account. I even adopted a bunch of new pets on my side accounts this month, with plans for so many new dreamies. I made a new friend. And I got a Fountain Faerie quest, which brought even more enjoyment. I now have a Chocolate Kacheek, and only one free pet slot. Which I am saving for when unconverted pets make their return!

Sims: I've also been playing a lot of Sims 2 this month to ease my stress levels. And posting to my Simblr!
