Goodbye, 2024. You were a strange, blurry dream. You brought me new friendships and new heartbreak. An estrangement from my Timeline Universe, but a new passion in poetry. I have no idea what next year will bring. But here are some December favorites to close the year with.

Spectacular: It's always nice to be back in the world of Caraval. This was a short novella, and I would have loved to have seen more Scarlett and Julian. But the illustrations were lovely, and it was nice to have a quick little Christmas read this year.

Riverdale: What a crazy, crazy show. Loved it, hated it. Stuck with it through 7 seasons of weirdness because I liked these characters, then was completely blindsided by how much I sobbed during the last episode. A few decent highs, some low lows, but what a weird, beautiful ending to this very bizarre show.

Palia Streams: While my deep love for Palia met with several struggles over the last few months (some objective criticisms of the game and others very personal), I found myself coming back to the game that for most of the year felt like home. And that was mostly because of Aqajj and his streams. I was initially quite nervous to be on a stream of any kind, but hanging out on his has helped me find fun in the game again. Check him out on YouTube and Twitch.

YouTube favs: Metaphor in the Boy and Heron (Densetsu Media), The Most Beautiful MMORPG That Was Left to Die (Eurothug4000), The House of Mina Lima in London (The Potter Collector).

Music Favs: I Wish I Never Met You (Babygirl), Enemy (Charli XCX), Lover's Letdown (Goldmyth), Poetry by Dead Men (Sara Bareilles), Sweetie (Carly Rae Jepsen), Crazy/Stupid (LÉON), Melt (SHAED).
